If ever you wanted to save an SSL certificate to a file:
- Navigate to the secure website in your browser
- Double Click on the lock to view the certificate
- Click on Install Certificate, Click Next
- Check “Place all certificates in the following store”
- Choose one of the stores
- Run through the rest of the screens
- Navigate to Start -> Run -> certmgr.msc
- Goto the store selected in step 5
- Right click on the certificate, select All Tasks -> Export

Awesome. Exactly what I needed. I was able to get the certificate stored, but didn’t know how to get it back out as a .CER file. Step #7 was a real life saver.
